Over the last few years, Jason Cole has spoken to many neighbors throughout La Vergne. During the visits with our citizens, crime came up time-after-time as the item of most concern.
Crime statistics in La Vergne have been improving in many areas. Still, many people across our city still don’t feel safe in their neighborhoods from day-to-day.
Nothing else matters if we don’t feel that our families are safe. Thus, battling crime must be a top priority for anyone looking to serve as our community. Keeping our families is more than just about crime. Keeping our families safe also encompasses medical and fire emergencies. La Vergne must have the proper number of men and women in uniform, with the proper equipment to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
When minutes count, we shouldn’t trade having staff for splash pads.
