Jason and Bridget Cole met one day at Opryland theme park back in 1996. After that one day they wrote letters back and forth between Tennessee and Mississippi until 2003 when they went on their first date.
Two years later the couple married and began building a family in Middle Tennessee. Jason continued to grow his career in the healthcare industry while Bridget became an environmental scientist.
Together the couple bought their first house in La Vergne, Tennessee, selecting La Vergne as Jason spent much of his youth in La Vergne as his parents built a home in La Vergne in the early 90s.
In 2010, the couple welcomed the birth of their first child Desmond. Eighteen months later, daughter Carly came along.
Jason has been involved in the city of La Vergne since 2009. Jason has served on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee, the Greenway Committee and served as the Vice-Chair for the Beer Board. While on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee, Jason spearheaded the development of the La Vergne Farmer’s Market and the initial phases of the Veteran’s Wall.
Jason believes in building for the future while living within our means. We, as a city, need to make wise, common sense decisions to ensure that residents get proper coverage in services while controlling expenses. Jason stands for lower taxes, limited government, and more freedom from government.
